This is heavy metal! See how thick the lid is? I have some other cheap gun safes but those are like tin-can to this one. It is solid heavy, 12 gauge steel I guess? Surprised for this price. This gun safe is just what I needed. It's not so heavy that I can't scoot it around. We did screw it to the wall so it's nice a secure, no one can get to the screws without opening the safe. The instruction booklet could definitely be improved. It took us a bit to figure out where the battery goes and how to get the keypad off. Until we got that off, we did not know where the key goes because it is not illustrated in the booklet. However, once you get the keypad off the key hole is in the middle. The locking mechanism seems very sturdy. I love the touchpad, both my husband and I were able to program our fingerprints. It does not state how many you can have so I'm not sure on that. The "set" button is located inside the safe on the door, hinge side. I love the adjustable bins that go on the door and sidewalls. Overall I'm very pleased with this safe.. Debbie. Wed Apr 22 2026

Didn't realize it required assembly until it got here. Probably my fault for not reading carefully. It's a decent storage locker, but the gun rests are not great and isn't quite a sturdy as I hoped for from the pics, but it will do.
