Just without the ozone I have seen a difference in air quality. However, my friend who is a non smoker could still smell cigarette smoke so I will put the ozone on 1 or 2 as ozone can be dangerous to people, pets, and plants. This is a really good air purifier! Small, lightweight, and uncomplicated. Warning, you need to pull of the two sides as shown and remove the plastic off of the filters on both sides. Writing this is 2026 and purchased this filter in the covid era.  Still works like the day we purchased it.  Fantastic workhorse that does a superb job filtering the air.  Yes it is large, but the wheels make it easy to move.  Filters are pricey but that’s true for all filters and this one does require more of them… but it is worth it, cleans so quickly and thoroughly.
