We have been so pleased with this barrel. It looks sharp, and has functioned well for a few months thus far. We’ve had some torrential rains and it has not leaked. It has survived extraordinarily hot weather and expansion due to the heat, but still looks, and functions great! My only wish is that it had a flat back so it could be flush with the wall.. Natalie. Seems to be made of good quality except the screen on top. In less than a week outside it looks like the screws have already begun eroding. It is also concerning that it doesn’t sit flush with the top allowing bugs to get inside. Definitely not interested in a mosquito breeding ground. Other than that the esthetics of it are spot on and the spigots on the side feel nice and heavy duty.. Ashley. Texas. Thu Apr 16 2026

The 50 Gallon Terra Cotta Rainbarrel is a slightly smaller version of our 55-gallon Terra Cotta Barrels. Heavy-Duty Screening keeps mosquitoes out. Our rain barrels are uniquely designed with plastic fittings that match the rate of expansion and contraction of barrel plastic from season to season to avoid leakage. These rain barrels are repurposed from pre-used imported food barrels. There may be slight scratching or scuffs due to previous overseas transportation. Since our rain barrels are made of High-Density Polyethylene Plastic they can be left outdoors even in the winter months so there is no need to modify your downspouts in the Spring and Fall. The exact shape of the barrels may vary due to availability but the color and size remain true. Because these barrels were originally used to transport food, there may be residual food product odor. The residual odor will dissipate after a few full barrel filling cycles. We use a PH-balanced, environmentally friendly soap when cleaning so that the water gathered can immediately be used on plants without harm. These barrels keep difficult to break down plastics from adding bulk to landfills and also contain and repurpose stormwater.

Durable. The mesh keeps the mosquitoes out. I linked 2 together and attached them to a soaker hose to water my garden.. Rosy. Portland, TN. Sun Sep 27 2026

I selected rain barrels carefully, and purchased the Ivy barrels . They are very efficient, made of good quality materials and are streamlined to fit elegantly into my simple landscaping plan . I bought two, that were set up next to each other for an effective overflow with storage aspect . The attached hoses also support irrigation. They may be a little bit more expensive than other rain barrels on the wayfair market , but still reasonably priced, and I prefer the quality and durability of these barrels.. Iris. Wimberley, TX. The Heritage 50 Gallon Rain Barrel represents a new evolution in decorative rainwater collection, bringing the character and detail of traditional barrel craftsmanship into a durable modern design. Its story began with an original wooden barrel handcrafted by a skilled cooper, with individual staves, natural grain, knots, cracks, hoops and rivet details carefully selected and shaped for an authentic appearance. Precision tooling then captured those distinctive surface details, allowing the finished resin barrel to preserve the character and imperfections of the handcrafted original. Designed to be as functional as it is distinctive, the Heritage stores up to 50 gallons of rainwater for gardens, planters and outdoor watering. The integrated planter top features a deep planting area for flowers and greenery, while a separate rear collection zone and molded water-routing path help direct incoming rainwater away from the planted section. A corrosion-proof screen guard helps block leaves and debris from entering stored water. A brass spigot provides convenient water access, a separate lower nozzle with shut-off valve supports drainage and hose use, and overflow outlets allow multiple barrels to be linked for additional storage. Constructed from durable, BPA-free LDPE resin, the Heritage is engineered for outdoor use and backed by a 2-year warranty.
