I had these installed in my kids rooms. The ceiling is only 7foot high. These are sleek and low profile enough for their rooms or any low ceiling rooms like basements. They are quiet which is great. This has a pull string but i didn't "install it" as the kids pull on it all the time, instead we have a wall switch that controls it.
