I like the look, the color, the feel... but I did have a problem with the vertical boards not being straight on one door. One board was warped badly which made the one door not line-up with the other door... where it would stick out about 2" at the bottom, past the straight door. The Seller was good to work with and understanding, they sent me a set of new vertical boards to replace the warped one/s. Sadly, one of the replacement boards was warped as well, but not as bad. I installed it anyway and still wasn't happy with the look because it too stuck out at the bottom past the straight door when closed (but only about 1"). After a couple weeks I decided to permanently connect the two doors together using steel straps (top, bottom and middle). I know this would not work for everyone because your doors may slide in opposite directions when opened. For me it worked great because I can only slide my doors one direction to open. The end result is that it appears I have 2 doors, but they slide as one and look pretty nice. I like having them tied together and I like the look of two doors rather than having one big door.. I had these installed in my kids rooms. The ceiling is only 7foot high. These are sleek and low profile enough for their rooms or any low ceiling rooms like basements. They are quiet which is great. This has a pull string but i didn't "install it" as the kids pull on it all the time, instead we have a wall switch that controls it. Bought this for my Dad's modern farmhouse and it just brought everything together. Well-made and absolutely a stunning statement piece. The blue wood is so pretty in person and matched the blue-gray leather couches. The different colors of wood really tied together the multi-colors of wood my dad had between his older and newer things. Bought this to replace French doors going into our master bathroom. I stained it a medium walnut and thought it turned out pretty good for a novice. It is a heavy door, so I needed help moving it around during the staining process and install. We had to install a header above the door frame to mount the sliding hardware because it would be too heavy to go just onto drywall. Make sure you account for that in your measurements for the door size and the feasibility of it in your space. It was a straight forward install with no issues. The door slides smoothly and actually blocks a decent amount of the sound and light from the bathroom.
