My two kitties love their new space! We have two 9 months old kitties that we rescued when they were 3 12 weeks old. They are indoor cats but we wanted to give them a safe sanctuary when are not home. I put the structure together myself and it probably would have gone quicker if I had help but I took my time and the instructions were easy enough to follow. The wood is strong enough for indoor but I don’t think it would last long outside in the elements. I didn’t use the roofing material that came with it since I have it inside the house. I added mesh wiring instead. The enclosure is 3 sided and backs up to the wall which works perfectly fine in our case as it gives us access to open and close our windows and shutters.. Arb65. Ca-usa. I bought this catio for my two outside cats, and they love it. I did not buy it for the raccoon but he seems to love it too. I did some modifications, like adding a small entrance door and an escape door, and I added hooks to the outside to hang a plastic curtain from when it rains. I also added a plastic corrugated roofing panel and sloped it towards my yard to divert rain water. I assembled this myself, and it was fairly easy. I ended up removing two of the platforms because my cats really dont need them since they are free to roam the yard and only use this catio for shelter sleeping. It's a nice and sturdy accent table. Quality seems good. I took off a point because it's much harder to assemble than it should be. What should be a simple 10 minute job is made exasperating due to difficulty aligning sidebars to legs and screw holes located where easy wrench/screwdriver access is tricky. Also the philips head screws provided were of very poor quality. They were easy to strip given the alignment problems and were apparently made from some alloy only slightly harder than solder.
