My two kitties love their new space! We have two 9 months old kitties that we rescued when they were 3 12 weeks old. They are indoor cats but we wanted to give them a safe sanctuary when are not home. I put the structure together myself and it probably would have gone quicker if I had help but I took my time and the instructions were easy enough to follow. The wood is strong enough for indoor but I don’t think it would last long outside in the elements. I didn’t use the roofing material that came with it since I have it inside the house. This is super heavy and assembly was a little tricky. As the manual states, it’s made with real wood so there’s variation in the pieces. Which means some of the pieces will line up a little differently than pictured. It takes some adjusting to get the pieces close to the formation in the picture. I would say the lowest platform is a little too small for jumping down onto from the top. One of my cats fell on the way down and he hasn’t been back to it since ( But it is very pretty. The box is truly extra large. One of my cats is 20 lbs, long and fluffy (big furry tail) and she fits fine with room to turn around. The walls are high enough to catch anything if they lift but low enough where they don't feel trapped and scared to enter. I left one of their old boxes next to the new one just in case! They've been using both. I put a 28 lb. Box of litter (Slide purple multi-cat) and it doesnt go all over the place because of the walls and the step to get out. I also have a short step in front of the box because it is a high entrance. Not that they couldn't jump in...just spoiled!
