I had some buyers remorse after I purchased this and read some additional reviews about how it had trouble heating up. I didn't realize it didn't use a standard electric spa heater. When I saw "Friction Heating" I thought that was in addition to normal electric heating and was a motor heat recovery unit and an energy saving feature. This was very new to me as the last time I bought a spa was 30 years ago. After installing and using it for going on 4 months, I must say I am impressed with the function and performance so far. It does take around 24 hours to get to from 75 to 100 degrees but once it got there it maintains the set temperature very well. Some of the reviews mentioned that it had a hard time heating in cold weather and maybe that is true for them but here in Florida I haven't had any problems even during some of the 30 degree cold fronts we had. The spa shell is very solid and seems durable. It has decent number of jets and water movement and we are really enjoying this spa. Now for my observations on what could be better. As some of the other reviews have mentioned the outer shell is very thin vinyl panels. Not a problem so far but they are pretty flimsy and hurricane force winds might cause them to buckle. The pump and control access panel is this same vinyl material and it is held in place by screws so to access anything you have to unscrew it rather than via a hinged door access like most spas. The single speed pump works fine but it would be nice to be able to add a little more massage power to the jets. A two speed pump would be preferable. Lastly, the instruction manual should be specific to a single spa model and not cover multiple models where some of the functions and features aren't pertinent to the one you are working with. Would I recommend this spa? For the solid inner shell, user friendly controls, and the included accessories, in this price range, all delivered free to your home in less than a week? The hot tub is great! It was delivered within the original time frame of 2-3 weeks, and had no issues with leaks or damage. The tub is comfortable and has plenty of power. The instruction manual could be ALOT better, but for the quality and price of the tub It is well worth it. One thing to note is that the tub did not come with the wiring to connect from the control panel to the house, and the shell did not include a hole for the wire to exit through. Not sure if this typical with hot tubs or not, but expect to buy several feet of #6 wire to connect the tub to the disconnect box and to drill a hole in the frame to feed the wire out.. Lori. US. I bought the 80 gallon without the mixing valve to save a bit of money. I have a family of four adults and two children as well as a tenant so five adults in total in approximately 2000 sq ft of home. Three bathrooms one dishwasher which we frequently use and a washing machine. I also have a recirculating pump that turns on in the morning so the kids don’t have to wait for warm water. Other than when we first filled it I have only ever used eco mode and have never had to switch to another mode to recover. I thought about whether I needed the mixing valve so I could heat the water hotter and have even more capacity but the mixing valve would not have been compatible with my recirculation setup according to my plumber and it makes sense as the heater would then be constantly heating cold water for no reason. So far that extra capacity the mixing valve buys has not been necessary. I switched from a gas water heater to electric because I have solar and there was an incentive program. My gas billed was halved in the winter time and in spring and summer is nonexistent. Electricity consumption is so low it barely makes a change at least when I monitor consumption in the solar app. So I totally buy the super high efficiency ratings. Water comes out as hot as desired. The app is a bit buggy and the WiFi connectivity is just okay. The heater is about 60 feet away from my WiFi with one door and it disconnects a lot. Seeing consumption on the app is nice but not always possible with the WiFi connectivity. I suppose people who need to change the modes more frequently would use the other features but I have just always been on eco. Noise is supposed to be one of the lowest there is. I personally was not expecting to hear anything but perhaps as a result of how it was installed with bracing it vibrates other structures which amplify the noise? I can definitely hear a low drone in my garage. It’s not bothersome and fades to background eventually. But I would definitely caution anybody who has to put their heater in living spaces to insulate that mechanical room well. Once my garage door is closed I can barely hear it but it was a bit more than I expected.. Jonnnn. California. Mon May 18 2026

Great tub but a couple of things I did not expect. First thing was I underestimated the weight of the tub. It's a lot heavier than it looks. If it needs to go up have some heavy equipment to assist you and the second thing was the amount of electricity it used in the winter. my electric bill went up $80-$100 a month.
