Go bold! Shag rugs are often only available in solid colors, happy to be the backdrop to the surrounding decor or letting their textured pile do the work of bringing visual interest to the room. That's not the case with our Soft Touch Shag Collection! Available in bold, contemporary swirls and Moroccan-inspired asymmetric lattice patterns, the Soft Touch Shag Collection takes center stage in any room it's in. The dramatic designs are kept in check thanks to cool gray, green, and blue hues that bring an element of sophistication. A thick, 1/2" shag pile adds another level of texture while also providing a soft place to sink your toes into. The Soft Touch Shag collection is perfect for contemporary living rooms or dramatic bedrooms.

This geometric area rug anchors your living room or main bedroom with a bold, modern foundation. It's hand-tufted from 100% wool, which provides a plush and dense surface that naturally handles everyday wear. The 0.39" pile height offers a comfortable feel underfoot while remaining easy to maintain in busy areas of your home. Backed by a blend of cotton, canvas, and latex, this piece is designed to keep its shape over time. It also works well in entryways to add a soft layer to hardwood floors. We recommend pairing this piece with a rug pad to prevent slipping.

I’m so pleased with this purchase! From delivery to how it looks in my home it is all SO good! Thanks to the reviews I was prepared for the colors being different from the listing photos. I prefer the actual blue to the blue in the listing. In real life the blue has more gray and green, which is exactly what I wanted! The wine red is still quite rich and dark and the orange is a nice rusty terracotta. There is no yellow. That is a warm beige, almost wheat. There is also a lighter, less golden, beige while the browns are what I would call mouse (not quite chocolate) and mocha (a little lighter and reddish). And the greens are very much sage greens, with one slightly more towards brownloden. The difference between the greens is almost unnoticeable. With my dining room seat fabric, the tiles on the nearby kitchen wall and the slate tile fireplace in the nearby living room, these colors bring all the colors of the rooms of the open floor plan together nicely. And the soft wool feels so nice underfoot! All wool needs vacuuming, but I don’t find it to be shedding and the few wrinkles will settle once it has been unrolled for a while. I am so excited!. Maggie. Sharon, CT. Sat Oct 31 2026

This shag area rug provides a plush foundation for your space with its dense pile. It's crafted from polypropylene, so it's a practical choice for busy areas since it resists stains, water, and fading. The abstract pattern adds a modern look without being overwhelming, while the jute backing provides a structured finish to the design. This performance piece works well for high-traffic indoor spots where you want extra comfort. It also helps to create a cozy atmosphere in any room it's placed in. We recommend pairing this piece with a rug pad to prevent slipping.

Hey Wayfair thanks for my beautiful soft rug that i received today, Just wanted you to know i love it.. Hoytissha. Sun Jun 14 2026

Channel the best of the past with a fresh, modern twist. This hand-woven shag area rug serves as the ultimate cool-factor accessory, defined by an unconventional construction and major retro vibes. Instead of a standard format, it features thick, tubular polyester strands—reminiscent of shoe strings—that build a loose, flowy surface full of kinetic movement. Boasting a deep 1.5-inch pile, it delivers a wildly tactile experience that begs to be touched. Because it is crafted entirely from polyester, you never have to worry about the shedding or pilling typically associated with wool. Taking an average of four months for artisans to carefully construct, this texture-heavy statement piece brings a funky, relaxed energy to reading corners or creative spaces. Maintenance is delightfully straightforward: simply spot clean, wipe with a cloth, or use a rug cleaning spray to keep the strands looking pristine.

Perfect with my. Black, gray and silver decor. Thanks Wayfair!. Georgette. Washington, Dc. Thu Dec 26 2024

The pileless wool construction makes these rugs easy to clean despite their plush feel. Perfect for medium-traffic areas where comfort is a priority like the living room or bedroom.

As others have said, the colors in the photos are very misrepresentative - they are much more dull and grey. That said, the rug feels great underfoot and everyone in my house has spent time standing on it. There's no way a door would be able to pass over it and I feel like it would make a table or other furniture feel off balance, so would recommend more for a runner or area rug that sits in the middle of a room.. Sarah. Baltimore, MD. Thu Sep 24 2026
