This is a cute item, for sure, but the price is too high for the level of quality. Silo top was misshapen and would not attach without adjustments, and the holes in the legs were not large enough to allow the bolts to pass through for assembly. I ended up needing to drill larger holes on each leg or there would have been no way to actually attach them. One time use. Won't even make it through one batch of chicks. I love the design of this, but it's made out of pressed wood that cracks with any moisture. It's not sealed and so the urine soaks through the wood chips we put in and into the wood. And we use a lot of chips and clean the brooder frequently. The chickens make a mess with the water and so now the bottom and sides of the brooder must be held together with tape. Havent decided where to set this up for the girls yet. Took a while to set up with one person, but did just fine (after realizing I had to disassemble a couple pieces backwards...oops). Definitely use the protective gloves, edges are very sharp. Arrived banged up and dented, but with some determination and bending while assembling, it didnt make a noticeable difference. The protective metal tray to retrieve the eggs is odd, perhaps need hinges vs screws But I just left them a bit loose to openshut easily. Also, use a regular screwdriver. Recommend this product!.
