[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently got this shed and love it! I was really drawn to the exterior and the overall style of the shed. It compliments our house so well. I liked the added gable above the door, the details of the windows in the doors, as well as the window (which actually opens to give additional airflow) with cute shutters really give it a lot of personality. The exterior really does have the look and texture of wood, but I'm thrilled I won't be having to paint it every few years. It is not just a basic functional shed, it actually improves the overall look of our yard.
This shed is also very functional. It has steel posts in each of the walls and steel rafters so it is very well built and sturdy. We live in an area prone to a lot of wind so I was initially concerned about the durability of the material, but once we built it, I'm confident it'll stand up great. I also really love the attention to storage detail. It comes with two shelves included that span the entire width of one wall, and lots of options on locations on several walls to hang them. There are tons of spaces and kits you can buy for additional shelving if you need. The shelves are reinforced with metal rods and very stable. I also liked the hooks that it comes with that attach the wall perfect for holding lawn tools or extension cords.
The double doors open up very wide and we measured and our riding lawn mower will fit with no problem once we get it up and running this season. The doors also have a sturdy locking mechanism and are reinforced with steel so they are very secure. The second door has a pin mechanism to keep it shut, so you only have to open both doors when you need to. The windows on the wall and door both provide plenty of light, but the entire top of the shed is actually translucent skylights so it is very well lit and bright. My husband is also 6'4" tall and can comfortably walk around inside.
We have had several spring storms bringing wind, snow, sleet, and rain since we assembled this shed and have had no issues with leaking water whatsoever!
We had no problems assembling it, but just be aware it does take time. It took about 10 hours for my husband and I to put it together. I would definitely recommend assembling it on completely level ground. If it was unlevel it would be much more difficult to assemble. The manual was very clear and the directions were easy to follow. The parts were all labeled very well and easy to identify. The manual tells you exactly which parts you need for each step and even the hardware is separated into individual labeled bags for each stage of assembly.
