This solid surface countertop is cast out of a mixture of stone, aluminum & acrylic resin. The stain-resistant material is easy to clean and maintain. Due to its special mixtures, the material can be sanded down for removing scratches and restored to its original matte finish within a matter of seconds. All in all decent product, directions are very vague - I did have to email the company to get clarification on bracket length and it not sitting tight in bracket. In other wards when brackets were installed the bar had space on each side (said it was acceptable) Brackets for adjusting the rollers slightly on cheap side and caused me to scratch the protective coating but will mever see water..
