Close your eyes and picture a crisp autumn afternoon. The leaves are swirling down, but your pool stays crystal clear beneath this rugged mesh cover. As winter settles in, heavy snow and freezing rain arrive – yet your cover stands firm, letting water drain through while blocking debris. When spring finally comes, you simply roll it back and find your pool ready for the first splash of the season. This safety cover is engineered for in‑ground pools, giving you peace of mind every day. The complete hardware kit makes installation straightforward, so you can secure it quickly and get back to enjoying your outdoor space.

Closing an in-ground pool for winter should not mean a green pool or hours of cleanup in spring. The Blue Wave Arctic Armor 20x44-ft Rectangular In-Ground Pool Cover is a heavy-duty solid pool tarp cover built to handle what the off-season brings, so the pool opens cleaner when it is time to reopen. It’s made with a 10x12 scrim count woven polyethylene, a dense material that forms a solid barrier against leaves, twigs, rain, and snow. The reinforced, heat-sealed seams run across the cover to lock out water, resist splitting, and help block moisture and debris. Because the panel is solid rather than mesh, water collects on top instead of draining through, and the black underside limits sunlight through the off-season to help slow dirt buildup and reduce cleanup at opening. This swimming pool cover is sized for 20x44-ft rectangular in-ground pools, with an extra 5-ft overlap that extends beyond the pool edge on every side. The grommets every 2 ft accept the included vinyl-coated cable and metal winch to cinch the cover down, and sewn water tube loops every 4 ft around the perimeter allow you to anchor the cover with water tubes (sold separately) for a snug, steady fit without deck anchors. A second person makes installation faster on a pool this size. This is a winter debris cover, not a safety cover. Do not walk on it or allow it to support weight. A layer of water on top is normal and helps hold the cover in place against wind; a cover pump (sold separately) can clear excess after heavy snow. Backed by Blue Wave’s 12-year limited warranty (full coverage in year 1 and prorated coverage in years 2 through 12), plus U.S.-based customer support and over 35 years of pool industry experience.

Very sturdy and can be handled by one person. Highly recommended to protect your pool during the fall and winter season!. Anonymous. US. Thu Oct 23 2025

Closing a pool for winter should not mean months of cleanup or a green pool in spring. The Blue Wave Arctic Armor 16-ft x 32-ft Oval Above Ground Pool Winter Cover is a heavy-duty solid pool tarp built to handle everything the off-season brings, so you can close up in fall and return to a cleaner pool when spring arrives. It’s made with a 10x12 scrim woven polyethylene, a dense, tear-resistant material that forms a solid barrier against leaves, sticks, rain, and snow. The reinforced, heat-sealed seams form a watertight bond across the cover to block moisture and debris and help prevent rips. Because the panel is solid rather than mesh, it keeps water from passing through and limits evaporation over winter. The black underside blocks sunlight throughout the off-season to help limit dirt buildup in the pool, which reduces the maintenance work needed at opening time. Securing the cover is straightforward. The rust-resistant aluminum grommets spaced every 2 feet work with the included vinyl-coated cable and metal winch to lock the cover down evenly, withstanding strong winds, rain, and snow. This winter cover is sized for 16-ft x 32-ft oval above-ground pools with an extra 4-ft overlap for a snug, wind-resistant fit; a helper speeds installation on a pool this size. This is a winter debris cover, not a safety cover. Do not walk on it or allow it to support weight. After a heavy snow, clear the buildup from the pool edge with a soft-bristle broom. To keep the pool cleaner, use a cover pump to remove standing water that collects on top of the cover after storms. Backed by Blue Wave’s 12-year limited warranty (full coverage in year 1 and prorated coverage in years 2 through 12), U.S.-based customer support and over 35 years of pool industry experience. This swimming pool cover is sized for 16-ft x 32-ft oval pools only. Complete with securing hardware, including the winch and cable, so everything needed for installation is in the box.
