This is a great upgrade for your kitchen hood. It just takes your kitchen up to a whole Nother level. Insulation was simple however, note that we did have to buy by the duct venting supplies theyre not included so we bought the coil hose and clamp and the heat resistant tape no big deal. This thing is so cool so nice. Its very quiet And the plus of having a remote control to operate to turn the lights on and off reduce section or increase section timer delay all that this is so nice another plus is you have a 10 year warranty so this is a 10 out of 10 in my opinion no more lousy clunkyhood range noises. Amazing range hood! Not easy to install, we actually still were sweating trying to get it secured in with four people involved. The instructions say at least two people, but I would get more people helping! It understandably took us a long time, but it is very sturdy. We have just short of 8 ft ceilings, and wanted it about 30” over the stovetop, so we also had to cut the two covers for the top portion. Get a metal cutting wheel and grinder, it was definitely not a job for someone who doesn’t have experience doing that, but you could cut it a different way if needed. Not necessary to alter like that though for taller ceilings, or lower placements. Installation aside, this range hood works beautifully and is strong even on its lowest setting. The lights are not blinding, and it’s nice having just buttons for control on both sides. Absolutely would recommend, for anyone who has the right help to install! Beautiful and quiet! Unit was fairly easy to install as this was a replacement for a 20 year old hood that had died. The "wax on, wax off" for fan speed didn't work well in test but needed to get it up. Issue persisted after install so I emailed support. The buttons and remote work perfectly. I was sent a video link on where your hand needs to be while swiping. This failed to resolve and I was asked to send a picture of the build sticker. Support confirmed the issue and are sending a replacement control board. It would be nice if the how to swipe video and any other manufacturer video, was included in the sales page or emailed on confirmation of purchase. The other issue I ran into was the sale price change. I bought the unit as an early Black Friday sale and then found that the price actually dropped further on Black Friday. Support offered to reimburse the difference and followed through! Thank you Emma with Dalxo \ IKTCH support! That said, in the future I will wait until Black Friday before making a large purchase like this in the future. (I would have leveled up to the one with 4 lights and better baffles.) The power on the Fotile range hood is excellent. For most cooking, I stay on the first 2 out of 3 fan settings. For high smoke activities such as seasoning a wok or searing steak, the 3rd settings is more than enough to suck up all the fumes. The fan speeds are all pretty quiet.
