However, what appears to be charcoal grey color of the pattern in reality is very light silver with a distinct blue /navy color. It is by any means NOT gray. In a bright daylight it is almost blue. This Holtby rug is beautiful! I needed a rug to complement a snow white rug in my living room. Because the white rug was such a bright expanse of white, I wanted something with a pattern and something to dampen the white a bit. This rug is the perfect charcoal gray and has enough weight to complement the white shag near it--my living and dining room areas are one room.
