It's four stars because some of it is plastic. This unit is not all metal but it still functions and works really well. One important thing to note is that the handheld wand is activated by a manual lever behind the shower head. Ok. I ordered a different item, 2 days later I checked on the delivery. The web site said the item was canceled. Mayfair did not contact me about the cancelation. I order this part. Mayfair explained the delivery date and said if I needed it sooner I could pay 30.00 for expedited delivery. The item arrived late. I would like a refund for the extra shipping charge. It’s also nice that it comes with three different detangling heads that are easy to swap out based off of your hair’s individual needs. However, I think it should be used as more of a pre-detangling tool rather than using it as detangling tool on its own. It helped ease detangling my hair with an actual brush after using the shower head first. I noticed that after I was finished detangling with the shower head, my knots and tangles were easier to manage without causing as much breakage and ripping as it typically does when just using my detangling brush on its own..
