It’s a nice, dense wood, unfinished desk and matching cabinet. I took a star off of the rating because the shipment was missing all three wooden knobs/pulls for the cabinet. I didn’t bother to ask for replacements because I plan to buy some decorative pulls for them anyway, but it was inconvenient that I had to scrounge up some old knobs just to be able to put the drawers in and use it in the meantime.. The mahogany server matches other items. The ideal size of our mahogany server can fit into tight spaces while still providing a lot of storage space. The two doors conceal a storage area with a shelf to help store anything from reams of paper in the office to antique china in the dining room.
