This is a not a pure white bed, I would say more of a creamy white and I LOVE IT. It looks fantastic in our bedroom and the exterior pieces are well made. I could not give it 5 stars due to the flimsy slats for supporting the mattress. Also, a word of caution, DO NOT move the bed even slightly after getting it set up with the mattress on it. We have porcelain tiled floors so we could slide it another 2 - 3 inches so the headboard was against the wall but that caused all the legs on the slats to bend and fall off. During the night we could hear the slat support legs hitting the tile one by one. We had to take the mattresses off and repair everything. Since then it is fine.. Michele. Weston, FL. I ordered two of these bookcases to place on either side of my fireplace. They were delivered fully assembled and look gorgeous. Great quality! The only thing I would point out is that I'm planning to put my blu-ray player and game console in the enclosed area behind the doors, but there is no hole in the back of the unit to allow cords to pass through.
