These pergolas up-leveled my small back patio. I ordered two and I am very pleased with the look, ease of assembly (you need two people), and quality. The actual dimensions are closer to 9x9, so measure accordingly. I had to use two panels to screen an unsightly view, and I am awaiting delivery of two more panels. I love the pattern of light filtered through the panels. For me, this was a perfect solution. I assembled with my BF in about 2.5 hours. The challenging part was the tight space we had to work. My husband handled most of the assembly, though he definitely needed an extra set of hands to safely erect the support pillars and main frame. Make sure your electric drill is fully charged and ready to go, as there are quite a few screws involved in securing the slats. Once it's up, though, the payoff is immediate. This pergola offers a perfect reprieve from the sun throughout the day, featuring a smooth louvered system that is incredibly easy to operate. Each side opens and closes with one fluid motion, giving us precise control over exactly how much sunlight we let in. The wood grain coating on the aluminum frame adds an elegant and timeless touch.
