These look great but are not completely sealed from bugs. I ran a bead of silicone around the edge inside the box to seal it but be warned this is almost certainly not recommended by the manufacturer as it would trap heat which could cause the LEDs to burn out sooner. Love the SkyPlug outlet product and ease of installation. The light fixture itself is a high quality product and really impressed with the integrated SkyX plug. I installed this as a replacement to a ceiling light. The earlier installer did not do a great job as the ceiling outlet box extended an inch or so below the ceiling and the hole cut was too large. I replaced with an old work box and used a medallion to help give it a finished look. This would not have been necessary for ceiling boxes properly installed to begin with. The description said it was a replacement for recessed light but it’s rely made to replace a regular ceiling light.
