Herstera’s portable planter is the perfect solution for growing fresh herbs and vegetables or simply adding a splash of colorful flowers to your deck or patio. The planters come in a variety of colors and stand a full 31” tall, providing a great working height and easy access to your plants. Constructed of heavy-duty, 18-gauge galvanized steel with stainless steel fasteners, the garden cart is extremely sturdy and highly resistant to rust and corrosion. Oversized polyurethane wheels allow for easy transport and moving plants to sun or shade as needed. The 7" deep planting box base tapers to a center drain to prevent soil saturation that can lead to root rot, and the bottom shelf is ideal for storing pots, tools, and other gardening accessories. With limited hardware and tools required, this cart can be assembled in minutes so you can start enjoying your new garden right away.
One of the best purchases I have made from Wayfair. It is a compact size to fit on my 12 ft. x 12 ft. elevated deck that also has a square patio table and 6 chairs. I have placed individually potted basil and thyme plants in the top and will be adding a small pot of rosemary. This has afforded me direct access to "a little herb garden" without having to go up and down a long stairs to reach my main garden area.
It arrived in a timely manner; well packed in a thick cardboard box. Each piece was individually wrapped to avoid scratching the exterior/interior. The wheels are substantial; a nice medium weight, not puny in any way. All the hardware and tools are included in a small zip plastic bag. Instructions could have been better, lots of pictures with little wording. One error was the first step showed to use bolt "O", but the written one stated to use bolt "P". There are only 2 of bolt "P" and in reading over the entire instruction sheet first, I saw that the 2 "P" bolts would need to be used in a specific place; therefore I would have to use bolt "O". Other than that, a little patience proved beneficial to having a beautiful and versatile cart.
It took a few minutes to figure out how I could manage to assemble the cart by myself. Assembly took about 20 - 25 minutes. Note: edges are not rounded and you could potentially cut yourself if you grip or pull with too much force/strength, as I did. The cut was minor, much like a paper cut so don't let that deter you from buying this useful cart. If I had to do it again, I would put on a pair of tight fitting garden gloves.
I like this cart so much that I am considering buying another for additional potted herbs or to use as an open cooler.
The top bin is ample size to put about 3 dozen bottles/cans of soda and/or beer in. There is a drain plug in the top section which would allow the melting ice water to flow thru. You would either place a bowl on the second shelf to catch the water or just allow the ice water to drip to the ground.. Debbie. Centerville, Ohio. Mon Jun 07 2021
