It is a very nice piece of equipment, with just a few comments. First, the microwave function is very quiet, a plus. However, the internal vent fan is very loud. More to the point, while air blows out the top vent, there is very little flow into the two-under vent portals, not very efficient removing smoke and odors. The control and number pad is very difficult to read in normal light. Either the text needs to stand out more, or ideally it would be better if illuminated. This duct cover extension kit replaces standard duct covers to accommodate up to a 12-foot ceiling height. This kit covers exposed duct work running from the hood to the ceiling while providing a finished look to your range hood. Please check your Zephyr range hood's specification sheet to ensure compatibility.

I looked long and hard for a duct cover that would hide the off center ducting I had because of a new range installation. I need something large enough to span the ducting and create the illusion of being on center if the new 36” range. The cover is heavier gauge stainless steel, thinking it is at least 18 gauge. It will not dent easily and looks like a professional, quality range hood. I have to figure out how to attach it as it is made specifically for Zephyr brand range hoods and came with no additional mounting hardware. The length of the vent part is 19.75” x 7” x 8.25” The 2nd piece I don’t have dimensions because it’s already installed I forgot to write it down after I having an hour long conversation with customer service talking with 6 different employees who had no idea, until wonderful James saved the day!
