We chose a rectangular stainless steel undermount sink for our new outdoor kitchen space and I already love the direction it’s going. The sharp, clean lines give it a really modern look and it feels like it’s going to elevate the entire setup. The size is exactly what I was looking for and should provide plenty of usable space for prepping and cleaning outdoors. The front offset drain was a big selling point since it keeps it out of the main working area and makes the basin feel more open and functional. I also love that it includes a drain basket, such a simple but thoughtful detail. We did hit a minor setback with our timeline so it’s still in the box and not installed yet, but I’ll be sharing updated photos as soon as it’s in place. Some pieces are simply too spectacular to adequately describe with words, and this is one of them. This Suzani embroidery is a palace-sized piece of incredible detail. It evokes the feeling of the Garden of Paradise with an impressive variety of plant and animal life. This stunningly detailed piece was created by hand in the late 17th century and is remarkably well-preserved. Suzani is a word that means needle. They were produced throughout central Asian countries and were usually part of a bridal dowry or special political gifts. This one is from India. Its level of preservation supports that it was only brought out and used for special occasions.

Inspired by the motifs and coloration of classic French Aubusson tapestry, sprays of roses in a naturalistic style repeat in staggered, diagonal rows across the rich ivory field of this elegant Bessarabian kilim. Pairs of larger roses forming linear garlands comprise the border.
