Create an organized professional workspace for recording, mixing, music production, podcasting, and multimedia work with this 63-inch studio desk. The upper section features three 6U bays for 18U total rack capacity, compatible with standard 19-inch rack-mount audio equipment. A raised monitor shelf and dual speaker platforms keep essential equipment properly positioned, while the 53.1-inch pull-out tray accommodates most 88-key keyboards and MIDI controllers. Reinforced three-section slides provide smooth support, with two installation heights approximately 3.9" or 7.1" below the desktop. An under-desk perforated equipment panel supports up to 33 lbs. Integrated power includes 3 AC outlets, 1 USB port, and 1 Type-C port, complemented by cable management and a reversible headphone hook.
A sturdy desk with many good features – and several significant problems.
First, the good points. This desk is very strong. Well-designed from the standpoint of strength and durability, it is clearly able to support the weight of an average home or small studio equipment array.
Assembly took several hours, not unusual for something with this many components. The instructions are not as clear as they should be, orientation of some of the parts is not well-described and it took a bit of time and patience to assure the correct placement. Once that as determined, assembly was easy. The attachment hardware feel sturdy and tightening did not cause any problems with loose fittings or deformation.
I do find it kind of funny that the ad copy describes “speaker platforms” and a monitor shelf when, in fact, those are one and the same – the top shelf of the desk.
Overall, I my satisfaction rating for this desk is around 80%-85%, and the desk will definitely be a very useful and functional addition to the studio in my new home.
However-
There are more than a few design and implementation issues with it, some more significant than others.
1. Despite the claim, my standard 19” rack-mounted equipment will NOT fit in the angled rack spaces! Shallow equipment will fit with no problem, but larger units like my Korg 01w/r, Akai ME-80p MIDI patch bay and beloved Avid Eleven Rack absolutely do NOT fit. All 3 are long units and the desk surface prevents them from fully seating in the rack mount areas.
This was nearly a deal-breaker for me. I didn’t realize what a problem this would be until the desk was almost completely assembled. Then I was faced with three choices; live with it and not utilize one of the desk’s most attractive features; disassemble, repack and return this 90-lb behemoth, or figure out how to modify the desk to accommodate the equipment
Luckily, I am fairly proficient with tools and have all those needed to remove sections of the desktop from the back edge of the main shelf, reinforce around the removed area and mount the equipment.
2. Placement and size of the AC/USB power strip is ridiculous! There should be at least double the number of AC sockets mounted in an easily-accessible location. There is no way all of the equipment pictured in the advertising copy could be powered from this tiny 3-outlet unit. It is placed in the center of the desk, behind the rack mounts, difficult access without having to move the desk. It seems to me that the power strip should have been mounted to the side or back, best would have been to mount a larger unit in one of the large leg panels.
3. The rack mounts are not threaded and require bolts and nuts to mount any equipment. Again, that requires the desk to either be placed far enough from a wall to allow access OR having to move it.. Seems as if it would have been cheaper and more efficient to thread the mounts and provide screws instead of bolts and nuts
4. Finally, the keyboard tray, while sturdy should have a reinforcement panel on the bottom front. While most of the keyboard weight is distributed at the left and right edges, not in the middle (because of the keyboard feet), I can see a slight amount of sag in the tray. I will keep an eye on this and will probably add some reinforcement in the future. On the plus side, the tray slides easily, doesn’t distort or jam and holds my main keyboard nicely.
So overall, I would rate this desk at a 6.5 to 7 out of 10. A bit of tweaking and modification will be needed to make it work as it should, but the basic desk offers a good starting point.. Michael. Nevada. Tue Sep 22 2026
