Heavy duty bird feeder. The birds find the suet. It’s just difficult to find just the right place for me to hang out every morning and remove it before dark. It’s just awkward, but I really like it. This Tube Bird Feeder is designed to be a statement piece and it looks very proportioned in a large open space. The large arches allow for several birds to feed at one time. There is a 4 feed tube that holds almost 3 quarts of feed. PVC lumber makes for a virtually maintenance-free feeder.

I bought this feeder because of its large seed holding capacity and also because the feeding ports are only located at the bottom, rather than at multiple heights like most feeders, so I don't have to fill it daily. The top is easy to slide up for ease of filling. I like that the individual perches are spring-loaded to close port access if a weighty rodent (we have large wood rat problems, not squirrel problems) gets onto the perch. Previously, I had a squirrel-proof feeder that had one continuous perch wrapped around the bottom, which allowed many birds to feed, but the issue with that was, so many birds could fit on it, that it would actually get weighed down, triggering the spring-loaded port closure, so the birds couldn't feed. I was so happy to have found this one with individual spring-loaded perches! It's a good quality feeder. Basic construction solid. Screened bottom a good idea. Whole feeder heavier than it needs to be. Ribbing instead of a solid roof would help. Don't know if, when full, it may bend our shepherd's crook pole. Door to suet holder too difficult to open, especially with gloves on and holding the feeder steady with the other in winter.
