This is an elegant, firm sofa that was easy to assemble solo, and this is not something I usually do. I did have a friend help me flip it up onto its legs after assembly. The box arrived really beat up, and I had misgivings as I was unwrapping, but the contents were protected. I have now had this sofa for over a year; I slept on it for three months while fostered cats and kittens took over my bedroom. It would work to use it as a daily bed, but it is VERY firm. The blue velvet fabric has held up nicely despite 2 cats (who fortunately, do not scratch it). I have received many compliments on it; it is the focal point of the sitting area. I LOVE this couch! It is absolutely beautiful! If you love sparkle and glam, this is perfect for you. There is not a lot of cushion on the seat, just what is built in (no separate cushions), but it is still comfortable. We were worried the gems on the seat would be uncomfortable to sit on, but you could not feel them at all. The white pillows are soft. Jury is still out on if I want to keep the white fuzzy pillows or replace with something else to tie in with my room though. Very simple to assemble - screw in the legs, and slide the back, seat, and arms together. It feels sturdy so I think it will hold up well. I like it, but it could be a more flexible cushioning to sit on and against is kinda firm and not super comfy. The back of the sofa is not attractive, as they use a thin, bland black fabric for the backing rather than continuous of the velvet Grey. That being said, it is pretty from the front view, and for just myself and maybe one other person at times it will be good. I like the flat, soft velvet more like suede fabric.
