It’s definitely heavy! It took my father and me about five hours to assemble. The little door won’t open, so I’m guessing we may have done something wrong during assembly. I still love it, though! There are a couple of things to be aware of: 1) Although easy to do, there are many pieces to assemble, so count on maybe 2-3 hours of time to fully assemble the desk, hutch and all of the drawers. 2) Given the type of coated particle board construction that is used, there were some small blemishes on corners/ends of a few of the pieces.
