I had this installed on a very old exterior door that only had a basic gold lock set, it didn’t seem secure at all. I bought this screen door for its ability to protect my glass panel front door from any hurricane damage. It has come through both Helene and Milton like a trooper. Pay extra 50 to have it delivered into the house in room next to where I installed it. Well worth the extra money. Box had big hole but contents was fine. Unboxing showed just how well the product was designed. Insulation of packaging was second to none. Glass was heavy end 38”. Instructions in box was somewhat different from the video but manageable. Used templates provided and spent considerable time measuring and remeasuring to insure alignments before drilling holes into tiles walls and flooring. Amazed that it all worked out as planned. This patio lock is made well. I wish I could install it, but my new apartment complex will not allow me to drill into the frame. I will be giving this to my sister to use on her patio door. I will say it is very well made. The locking peg is sturdy and long, so it will secure the door when I stalled. This Prime-Line Swing Bar Door Guard will increase peace of mind when answering the door by allowing the door to be cracked open slightly for viewing. When engaged, a ball on the keeper interlocks with the bar lock and prevents an intruder from pushing their way through. We have improved upon the standard door guard design and added an innovative backup thumb turn security lock that blocks the release tool from disengaging the door guard latch. In cases of emergency, hotel security or emergency crews can pop the thumb turn off of the unit by applying approximately 100 pounds of force to the door. (Note that 100 pounds of force is much greater than a simple kick in, so the emergency release feature does not compromise your security.) Additionally, after the thumb turn lock breaks away, the unit still operates as a traditional swing bar door lock and a specially designed Anti-Lockout emergency access tool is required to swing the door guard out of place. To help prevent forced entry into your home, it is always a good idea to engage the backup thumb turn lock whenever you are not actively using your door.

Confusion over the term "Pre Hung Double door" is the issue as a prehung double door in a lumber store is a set of two doors assembled together in a frame where as you install the complete unit into the opening waiting for it. The purchase we made came in three boxes, two door section which were "pre hung" as in welded to a side frame via metal hinges, there were two of these boxes and an third box with hardware to assemble the door set.
