The box itself was delivered and had crushed corners and slashes in the middle of the box etc. As a result the black box with hedge had damage. The bright side is that resolution came easily. I was offered a chance to keep it with a discount and repair it myself. I was offered a chance to return it in exchange for another with free shipping back.
