So I bought all three versions of the air balloon, solar lantern, this being the rainbow version. I believe this is a much newer model than the other ones as it has a light that goes down into the basket as opposed to the other ones. This one also came in more modern Styrofoam that doesn’t fall apart with little pieces of it all over your house static electricity stuck to your walls forever. I found the same item on another (much more expensive) website before I found the exact same thing here at a substantially better price (kicking myself over that one). This lantern is just beautiful in both day and night environments, but especially at night, when the colors reflect on the surface the lantern is sitting on. This little object packs a big wallop. It's stunning against the night sky. My plan is to make raise it higher than the stake it comes with but the stake, at over 4 ft is great. Very cute, but the light bulb is tiny and it gives off little light. I wish they'd come up with a better, longer lasting solar battery. I have to move it around during the day to get enough sunlight to charge it, for a few hours.. Suzan. Cape Canaveral, FL. Sat Dec 27 2025
