I like to start a review with the packaging. So, it came in a box, very well cared for inside, fragile label on all sides, and it arrived via FedEx in perfect condition. Good job, Fedex!! Upon assembly I noticed it was very straight forward (mechanical mind not necessary), the instructions were clear and written in my language. Looking at this beautiful piece fully assembled made me feel almost awe struck, with its glowing copper eagle, and brass cardinal directions. Solid piece! I've capped the cupola I'm building with it and it made it even more pretty! The only downside that I could find us that it does not come with the mount. Not really a downside though and if I had read the description better I would've known that before the purchase. You will love this piece. Very well made. Installed it on my 30X40 metal pole barn. Secured it with Gorilla Glue Adhesive caulk and two 6 inch lag screws. This cupola will never blow down. This has worked well for us. Way to out together and produces a great compost. One thing to note is that the compost can rest on the bottom ledge inside which can make it difficult to open the doors. Quality cupola! I installed this on a backyard shed that has a ridge vent. I cut the ridge vent as recommended in the installation instructions - a bit nerve-racking, but it turned out fine.
