My 20-year old shower was leaking out the shower head even after replacing the mixer cap (rotating valve). Then I bought this, the pressure balancing unit (PBU) and after replacing both, there are no leaks and it works better than new. Kohler will say that this PBU is not the solution to a leaky shower head, but it was for me. Watch the Kohler installation video and buy both this PBU and the temperature regulator and you will be good as new. The parts change out quickly and easily with simple tools. I like the tracking feature to see where my package was. A bit surprised it shipped from the USA as I ordered from Canada. Item appears to be good quality but it was fairly easy to rip if I wasn't careful. Luckily I managed to discard the ripped edge as I had enough length. Speaking of length, the item description said (3m/10ft) but 3 metres is only 9.8 feet and that's what it was. Good thing my garage door was 9 feet so I had enough material.
