The OVO acrylic undermount tub is attractive, durable, functional and easy to install. The tubs are built using a proprietary layering technology to reinforce and insulate the tubs far better than other tubs available today. The process starts with a heavy acrylic sheet with a resin and fiberglass mixture backing then a thick layer of real Canadian wood is applied to the tub which is then coated with another layer of the proprietary resin. This gives the tub better heat retention and insulation than another acrylic, gel coat, or steel tub products on the market while giving unparalleled strength and rigidity. The proprietary layered technology insulates the tub rather than absorbing heat from the water like cast iron which saves energy and water by retaining more heat and making the addition of hot water less frequently to maintain a warm bath. The 63.5" size is a convenient undermount size allowing for ample space in the bath and frequently used for new construction or remodeling under-mount applications. The under-mount style mounts under the tub deck to provide a clean and efficient appearance and removes any barrier from stepping down into the tub. The heavy 3mm thick acrylic layer provides a high gloss surface that is scratch, fade, and crack resistant providing a clean and attractive appearance through the entire long life of the tub. The vibrant surface of the acrylic tubs cleans up easily with mild soap and water, no scrubbing or harsh chemical cleaners required. This easy to clean nonporous acrylic surface resists the growth of mold, mildew and mineral deposits providing a safe and hygienic bathing fixture for your family. The OVO tub has a convenient end drain configuration and a 13.5" water depth in the large rectangular interior. I may never leave my shower. I had to buy a connector to install it in the ceiling, but I think it makes it more luxurious. My only complaint is that I have a hard time remembering which way to turn the knob to have the water spray from different places. Upon looks alone everything is great, but during installation we had to find fittings to extend the jets and shower head to be able to make them able to screw in right with the wall and tile. I wish there was an easier way to be able to order spare parts from the maker. Update we were able to find fittings on our own, but the makers also contacted me back but said they don’t make any themselves. Giving this one star for very unethical and unsatisfactory customer service from the supplier ( not Wayfair). Tub was delivered with a damage area on the edge of one side. It’s almost a month and the supplier have not call or contact me regarding this damage. However, Wayfair has follow up with excellent customer service and is working to resolve this issue with me.
