This engineered flooring is a neutral greige tone. The finish is smooth with no wood texture feel. The top and bottom plank are full length where the middle pieces are split which I thought was odd but maybe that’s how all boxes come The backside of the planks are a rustic finish that I kind of like (see last photo). Bought AX-25 to reseal my pool deck and lanai. This stamped concrete deck has to be resealed every 2-3 years. Used tint from another company (very good stuff). However, I decide to give Foundation Armor a try for sealing. I am very pleased and find this to give a better appearance than the sealant I used before from the tint provider. Great product for protecting concrete. Be careful with how you want to apply this product. I used a plastic container and sprayer, and this sealer literally melted the plastic/ spraying wand. I had to buy stailess steel sprayer to apply this sealer. Also, use a very good quality gloves to avoid any skin rash. It would be great if the supplier supplied MSDS sheet and warning label to not to use any plastic sprayer. Product is excellent, easy to apply! My flooring installation experience includes several houses with either solid wood, various laminates and engineered floors. Overall, I liked the general quality of the 7-ply engineered flooring with the 2 mm hickory layer. The boxes arrived in good condition and all the planks in good shape. I left the flooring in the intended room for about a month and the flooring went down easily with a hand nailer. I noted some warpage and when resawing some of the planks for trim found some internal moisture in the layers. The satin finish looks nice (se attached photos, though seems to be inadequate for any real traffic, so I am recoating with 2-3 more layers of polyeurathane – see one small plank for comparison in the wood-tile interface photo.
