This bunkbed is really nice looking and solid and a great bargain. The bed gets 5 stars. HOWEVER, assembly was an atrocious process and would earn negative stars. None of the parts were labeled. Each piece had multiple patterns of holes on several sides and trying to line them up facing the proper way was a process. The instructions are almost nonexistent- just very small pictures with confusing arrows everywhere. Once everything was lined up appropriately it really wasn’t hard to put together but labels and written instructions would make a huge difference. We are pleasantly surprised with this purchase. Putting it together took about 3 hours with 1 person. Our 4 year old is so excited to use this. I was hesitant based on the price because I did not want to spend this much for the bed and then 2 additional full mattresses, but this is a great purchase and very good for the price. It will not only serve as our toddlers bed, but should we have guest or friends over we wanted the larger bed. I ordered a 5 inch mattress for the top bunk and 10 for the bottom although that will probably be a bit high for head space.
