Tough review to write. It was a lot of work to assemble. Many hours. I had to buy extra chicken wire and zip ties. But I think it's great. In the yard, I could have staked it, but on the deck, I'm using landscape bricks at the four corners - my patio table with an umbrella has blown away in high winds. But the roof is easy to remove if I know strong winds are coming. I think it's plenty sturdy, it should last years compared to the cat tents we've gone through. This is a nice structure and fits well in our space below a window, but I want to give this like 3.5 stars because it's pretty good but 2 things I didn't notice while purchasing: (1) the cover is just a clear plastic tarp and seems very flimsy. (2) All the platforms are on the same side, kind of stacked up on the back wall of the catio, so it's hard for cats to get from level to level. The one hole in the top platform is too small for my chonky boy to get through, and my other senior cats don't really like it. They're not kittens! Would have been nice to have the platforms staggered on both sides of the cage so they could leap to get up to the top and back down to the bottom. We were looking for a safe way to let our indoor cats be with us outside (because lets face it, all cats want to go outside) without them running around the neighborhood, getting lost, or hurting themselves. Welp, this was the answer! Right away, our cats had different reactions. One seemed to be content and immediately took to it. The other seemed to feel threatened initially, like she was being put in a big cage (instead of being allowed safely outside as a treat). But, after we let the second cat stay in it by herself for awhile while we worked outside in the garden, she grew more and more content and actually started to thoroughly enjoy her time in the habitat, not wanting to go back in the house. :) We are planning to put in some cat beds and a water dish and a kitty litter on the bottom.
