It appears to be an efficient model, however, it would have been great if it was an energy star refrigerator. Got this GE fridge to replace an old GE Profile that finally died. Loved that fridge! This is level down, due to not wanting to spend so much money. It was delivered today, so not sure about the actual function. Few things though that your engineers or designers should think about. My husband is very handy and decided to hookup the water line himself. Problem is the piece that you have to insert the copper water line to is very short, and initially leaked. Also, on door with water/ice, the shelf maybe should have a well built there to catch dripping water or any excess ice. Just 2 initial thoughts so far. I'm hoping to love this one as much as I did my old one... we'll have to see. Quick update: yes, you need to add a well or lip to ice/water fixture. I went to try out the ice 2 days later, it grinned for at least a minute before actually dispensing ice, then it shot out like a bat. Tall/narrow is what I need so this was my only choice and I am happy to have it. Beautiful interior lighting, well planned space. Room for improvement: The quality of the plastic shelving seems lightweight for such a substantial appliance. Also, the WiFi feature will not connect and am now waiting 3 mos for a new part for that.
