This gate is perfect and has features I didn’t even know I needed! I originally bought a pet gate from another site, that just had the bars, and no plexiglass. Unfortunately, my cat kept trying to shove his face through, and I was worried about him hurting himself. The latch could also be opened if he were to jump up and pull down on it, and the gate had a lot of play in the middle, so it would wobble back and forth. I returned it and got this gate. It took care of all of the issues I had regarding the first one! No more fear of my cat trying to push his face through the bars, the latch is cat proof, and it is much more stable! I didn’t even have to add the bonus hardware half way up to add to the stability. I also love the added feature of the door swinging both ways, as it makes it easier to keep my cat back who tries to get out at times when I am coming through the gate. Avoid putting screw holes into your fine woodwork by installing your gate using our clamps. Measuring 8″ in width, these solid wood clamps are expertly designed to fit snugly around very small spindles, effectively sandwiching two spindles together. They fit spindles measuring up to 6.5″ in width. Note: You will need two clamps for each side of the gate for optimal support.
