they are sturdy once you have the dirt in them, but seem a bit flimsy when empty. Be careful filling them, as I had my neighbor help me fill with his john deer and we had to go very slowly and level the dirt in layers so it didnt warp the shape. Overall this is just what I needed to cover my pumpkin patch. For my area that can have high winds, I purchased rebar u stakes. The stakes that come with this I do not think would keep it grounded. I covered this with shade cloth. For assembly, there is an image and parts and where they go. No step by step instructions.
