Bring more ways to play into your backyard with the XDP Recreation Palisade Safe-Arch Metal Swing Set. Designed with a bright silver, blue, and green outdoor playset look, this swing set gives children multiple activities for swinging, gliding, sliding, and sharing active outdoor fun. The set includes a 34-inch black and blue SuperDisc swing with a foam-covered frame, 2 green swing seats with adjustable-height chains and white vinyl chain covers, a 2-rider Air Glider, and a 6-foot blue blow-molded wave slide with a grey frame and black steps.
The Palisade features XDP Recreation’s Safe-Arch frame design, which uses an arch-shaped frame to lower center-of-gravity stress points and reduce lateral sway. This creates a more stable, secure platform for swings, gliders, and accessories while providing an 80-inch deep footprint compared to a traditional 68-inch A-frame. The added depth gives families approximately 75 percent more play and frame space, helping kids enjoy a more open backyard play experience.
Safe-Lock connections help prevent tubing at connection points from twisting and flexing, helping reduce wear over time for a longer service life. Welded construction where the legs meet the top bar adds stronger support than traditional connection designs, while the 2-inch galvanized steel tube frame delivers a dependable foundation for outdoor play. Blue foam padding on the legs adds a soft touch to the frame design, and the included bonus frame anchor kit helps secure the swing set during setup.
This backyard swing set gives children a fun place to swing, glide, slide, and keep having fun while giving parents added confidence in the frame design.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We received the XDP Recreation Palisade Safe-Arch Swing Set all in one box. It took us about two days to complete the build, mostly because of the time of day we started. The directions were easy to follow, and all the hardware was labeled, which made it easy to locate what we needed during assembly. One thing we realized that could be improved is making the swing set reversible. Normally, the slide is set up on the right-hand side, but because we already have a playhouse, it felt like that side of our yard would be too crowded. Luckily, we were able to make it work with the slide on the left-hand side, which gave the kids more space. Another thing I noticed is that since everything is compact enough to fit into one box, some of the pieces come broken down into smaller sections. For example, the rods between the arches that provide cross support come in two pieces and have to be secured together with hardware. I know they aren’t meant for kids to hang on, but of course, that was one of the first things my kids did! The cross rods do have some play even after being secured, so I wish those pieces felt a little sturdier.
I had a few small issues with some of the hardware, but overall, everything turned out good. I really like the quality of the steel frame. This playset isn’t made for adults and is recommended for kids ages 3–8. My daughter is 2 and is able to swing and go down the slide on her own with adult supervision. She really love the disc swing, when she starts to get sleepy she want to be rock on it. My kids have really been enjoying this playset this summer. We’ve even had a couple of playdates where kids ages 3, 5, and 6 got to play on it and had a great time. Overall, I think the price range is nice, the assembly is pretty easy, and the kids have gotten a lot of use out of it. I would definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a backyard playset for younger kids.. Crystalm. Wed Sep 16 2026
