I ordered the queen size in espresso. I was able to build this by myself in under 2 hours. I just put the Golden Girls on the tv and started building! The socket wrench was a blessing. I have a drill but I didn’t need it. The instructions were easy to follow. I took the suggestion of another reviewer and placed the nonskid pads on the legs before assembly. Makes a big difference. I ordered this bed to go with my headboard (also from Wayfair) and it is a perfect color match! However, there are no holes in the bed in order to connect them. No big deal to me, I'll just zip tie them if I have to. So far there have been no issues with sturdiness. The height description is accurate. I wish there had been a 14 inch height option. The top of my mattress sits at about 28 inches from the ground so I feel like I'm a little too high up, but I will get used to it. The package is a tall box. If it needs to be transported to upper level or lower level must have help to do so. I just opened the package and took each piece to upper level. The packaging was great. Instructions were clear. Lots of extra pieces of nuts were given. Can’t go wrong anywhere with assembly. Each piece was very well made. There’s hardly any assembly. It probably takes about 30 minutes to 40 minutes maximum. The wood pieces are solid wood. Has very smooth finish. The texture of the finished surface is soft and gives expensive feel. Once assembled one can tell its sturdy construction. We’ve been using it for a month now and no creaking or any noise. Perfect for apartment size bedroom or guest bedroom. Very happy with purchase. This bed is worth buying. Got it in the black full and white queen. Love the look and was easy to assemble. Had to request another piece because of damaged piece on the black bed. The white bed had the same piece damaged but not as noticeable as the black one so I believe they need to changed the way it is packaged to ensure the piece is not damaged. It’s perfect for me. I assembled it myself and it was pretty easy, took about three hours. If you’re getting it delivered be careful the edges of some of the pieces were scuffed and chipped, doesn’t bother me but could bother lots of people. Also the boxes are heavy!! This is to be expected but just keep it in mind. Supports me well. But be wary that the shelf is nice but your pillow will slide into it if you’re a rough sleeper haha, I banged my head on it the first few nights.
