Took 24 minutes to build and was very easy to put together. Scan the code and watch the video much easier then looking at the pictures. The photo showed a height of 24.8" its actually 25.2" which made it not fit under my desk but the specifications shows 26" so should've read that. This is a beautiful piece of office furniture. Looks very good. Took about 3 hours to put together. If you are not good with reading instructions fully get help. It's somewhat strong, but I would only use it for hanging file folders. The bottoms of the draws are made with some sort of hardboard and the weight is not sufficient to hold much of anything else in my opinion. They are just slid into slots on the bottom. I would actually give this more of a 3.8 star. I put it together in about 3 1/2 hrs by myself. I had 1 piece that was cracked right down the middle and of course, it was a front piece so it is very noticeable. Very odd also because this piece was in the middle of the box surrounded by all the other pieces. Personally, I think it was cracked when putting the pieces in the box by the manufacturer. Anyway, it went together pretty easy. Not as easy as the desk but it wasn't horrible. I will say, the instructions are not near as accurate as the desk was. (Same manufacturer also). A couple pictures were labeled wrong and and some didn't show direction of panel so you have to look ahead in the steps to make sure you have it correct. File cabinet is a nice piece of furniture but it was a beast to assemble. It took me six hours to assemble it; two of the six hours could have been avoided if I have secured the cabinet to the wall. After assembling the cabinet and placing the folders it was really wobbly, so I decided to secure the cabinet to the wall. The dark purple is a great color - file cabinets are fine for the price point. One of the two I ordered has a sizable dent on one corner. It it was to be in a corner or not viewable from two sides, I would be ok with it. However, it is being used to support wood for a desk in a brand new church office and plain to see. This thing is heavy but it does look nice when put together, it came with all the pieces, nothing broken, everything aligned during construction and Im happy with the finished product. However, no matter what I do one drawer doesnt go in flat. Ive taken it apart and redone it twice. Its still sturdy and holds everything, so well just deal with it.
