That said, however, I must tell you that both I and my husband are retired and living in a retirement community. Consequently, we are trying to give away our possessions, not acquire more. I bought the spoon because one of ours had disappeared. Accordingly, please don't send us material describing new items. This silverware is AMAZING. It feels and looks so luxurious to use. Nicest set I've ever owned. It has some weight to it, if that makes sense. Some heft. And it is beautiful on the table. It polishes up nicely and is clearly well-made. I feel like it will last for years. My cheaper utensils, specifically spoons have developed nicks and burrs. These are substantially made. I wish the packaging was nicer, because I was going to gift this set. The packaging is NOT gift worthy, to say the least. However, the product itself is 10 stars.
