Other reviewers are correct when saying the temperature dial needs to be set above the needed temp to get a correct preheat. Remedy with a hanging oven thermometer. Do not, I repeat, Do not get the ‘GE Installation’ service with this appliance. Even if you buy an installation kit. The technician will come in, excuse in hand, and will tell you that any dust, or light green on the gas pipe disallows them to service the installation. (When plumbers test for gas leaks upon installation they spray a little water on the line, leading to a light green) Be ready with your own plumber on the day of delivery. This is a great undermount steel sink. Size is pleasant for being only 22 inches, and deep, in order to accommodate items without splashing. There is some kind of sound deadening foam panels adhered to all sides, and the whole of the underneath of the basin has been coated with some kind of sprayed on dampening to help prevent echoing and clattering.
