This is a beautiful, sleek looking range hood. It has great features and is very well made. The convertible option is huge for those of us who don't currently have a vented hood. It is heavy but installation looks like it will be straight forward. My installation is delayed since I have to remove cabinets over the stove, find the backsplash tiles that current end at the bottom of the cabinet and continue it up before installing the hood. Very impressive range hood for our mini kitchen remodel. We just had this installed by an electrician friend - took him about 2 hours, but that’s because our old one was not a plug in and he had to drill a couple holes in our cabinet. The fan works great and the lights are nice and bright. The fan is a tad loud but I don’t mind because it works so much better than our old one. Adjustable in so many ways -- except one. You can change the color temperature, LED colors, light pattern and music volume, but the fan itself is just one speed. I didn't notice this before buying but that's my fault for not looking closely enough. I'm also skeptical of the 35 decibel level advertised in the specifications. I have a dishwasher advertised as 42 decibels and it's so quiet I can barely tell that it's running. This fan, by contrast, is certainly noticeable. I'm not saying it's loud by any stretch, but it's certainly louder than expected. Finally, the exterior construction does not have a particularly "solid" feeling. I'm sure it's fine, as it doesn't have any moving parts beyond the fan, but you might want to take a little extra care to make sure it's securely installed (to a stud, for example, rather than just through the drywall).
