I've been very impressed with the FOTILE 30" Slant Vent range hood. It’s extremely efficient at removing smoke and cooking odors, much more powerful than standard models. The power on the Fotile range hood is excellent. For most cooking, I stay on the first 2 out of 3 fan settings. For high smoke activities such as seasoning a wok or searing steak, the 3rd settings is more than enough to suck up all the fumes. The fan speeds are all pretty quiet. Great improvement in color & style over previous range hood. Luv the up dated styling. Bottom of cabinet isn't flush so couldn't use easy brackets. Two person install was easy & quick, though. Airflow is strong which explains an expected loud noise level, in high position. Fits great below cabinet. Nice profile. So far its great! We have had it installed (husband did it with his friend) for about 1 month. It is fairly quiet but really powerful on the highest level. Ive noticed. I haven't even had to use the highest level yet. The light is super bright. I wish there was more than one level to the light though. It was fairly easy and straightforward to unstall. The problem we had was our vent hole was smaller than the stencil overlay so we didnt know what to do initially. We figured it out, had to cut the hole! It worked out. So far we are very happy with it. We have open concept kitchen and smells do not float upstairs anymore! That was my major qualm with the over ranger microwave hood.
