Very well packaged, upright pallet style. It was installed within a few hours by a glazier who also had to expand the opening to accommodate the sidelight. We purchased the hardware locally. Smaller than I wanted it will not hold the towels side by side. If your plug is behind the rack there is not enough room for the towels to hang and its a fight to get them on the rack. Also the rack does not heat as well the only area that heats is where the towel is laying across the bar not just touching it. Great quality that will work great for my dusk to dswn light in my driveway. I live in a very rural area with no street lighting so it get realky dark out when there is cloud cover and this light will illuminate my walkways front of the house and garage area ao that coming home at night will be safer.
