Flying Fisherman San Jose Polarized Sung

The San Felipe was one of the most beautiful Spanish ships in the 1600s. Launched in 1690, it had 96 cannons and was the lead ship of the feared Spanish Armada. It was powerful enough to go up against the most formidable ships in the French and British navies. In 1705, the San Felipe and 11 other Spanish ships waged a furious and heroic battle against 35 British ships. After 24 hours of fighting, the San Felipe was captured but was so badly damaged that it could not be salvaged as a prize. It sank with several tons of gold.

The Shamrock V was launched by Sir Thomas Lipton after his fourth had lost. For his challenger, Lipton turned once more to Charles Nicholson, who produced a beautiful sloop. When the races started, Shamrock found herself pitted against Enterprise. In the best-of-seven series, Enterprise won four, Shamrock failed to score a single victory.

By night they work the nets, and by day they rest and clean, they are there almost every morning that I head offshore. They anchor up just after dawn and begin cleaning their decks and holds of by-catch and trash fish. They are the shrimp boats that spend the night dragging their nets for pink gold. By night they work the nets, and by day they rest and clean.

Wayfair service excellent Product arrived early and in excellent shape Package was extremely strong (wooden crate inside) very well protected The ship is fantastic The reason for the 4 star is that the exterior of the ship is not white like the picture and description. It is pale yellow. Hopefully, we can make it work as is. Will contact customer support so they are aware of this issue. Kim. Myrtle Beach, SC. Fri Oct 20 2023

The three-masted topsail schooner Atlantic was one of twelve vessels that competed for the 1905 Emperor's Cup, a prize put up by Germany's Kaiser Wilhelm for a race between New York and the Lizard (the extreme tip of Cornwall). Atlantic won the cup by achieving a time of twelve days and four hours. In one 24-hour period, she ran 348 nautical miles. She was taken up by the US Navy in both world wars and was eventually acquired by the US Coast Guard Academy. Although the Atlantic was built as a racing craft, she had a stateroom accommodation for seven people. Launched in 1903, she won the Kaisers Cup in a very exciting race by crossing the Atlantic in 12 days, 4 hours, 1 minute, 19 seconds.

Beautiful statement piece to have in your home! We wanted something unique and used it in place of a guest book at our costal-themed wedding. It is now filled with names written on the sails, and is beautiful. I had my father put it together, so I can’t attest to how the set up was. The bow has a piece of wood that the sails are connected to that inserts into the hull. You can see in the photo that it must have popped out at some point, and is leaning up against the hull. This likely happened when it was transported to our venue, but it is easy to pop back into place- just beware that this can happen. It is very well-made and we received countless compliments! Gorgeous, and we will enjoy this in our home for many years to come!. Anonymous. Fri Feb 03 2023

H.M.S. Sovereign of the Seas, launched in 1637, was the most powerfully armed ship in the world in its day. It was originally going to have 90 guns, but King Charles I personally insisted that a ''great ship'' be built for the English Royal Navy, so it went to sea with 102 bronze guns. The vessel was the most extravagantly decorated warship in the Royal Navy, completely adorned from stern to bow with gilded carvings. The ship was later renamed Sovereign and then Royal Sovereign. It was destroyed by fire in 1697 in Chatham.

Built in 1898, the regatta cutter Pen Duick was one of the most beautiful sailing boats. She was abandoned after running aground in the muddy flats of the Loire. The legendary sailor, Eric Tabarly, who rescued and lovingly restored her with the other sailor were lost off the southeast coast of Wales on the stormy night of June 14, 1998, the same year that PEN DUICK reached its hundredth birthday. Please note the model's mast and sail are folded down for easy packaging and shipping. Assembly is required.

The Queen Mary is considered by many as the pinnacle of British passenger shipbuilding. The canard Line's Star Flagship, Queen Mary, was laid down for construction as the Great depression gripped Europe, rendering circumstances unfeasible for ship building. Thus, the construction was held up from 1931 to 1934. The thousand foot passenger ship was built to trump its French rival to the crown of luxury, the Normandie. One of the most appealing characteristics of the Queen Mary was her great speed. Coupled with great luxury and comfort, this factor earned amazing profits for her owners until the outbreak of the Second World War, which found her in a New York Harbor. After being idle for half a year, the Queen Mary re-entered service as a troopship, traveling unescorted from New York to Sydney. Ferrying troops between the Suez and Australia until the United States decided to take part in the fight, the Germans reportedly offered a quarter million reward for sinking this ridiculously fast passenger boat which their submarines could not keep up with. With its speed and finesse along the waters, the Queen Mary bested any warship afloat and adopted the nickname, ''the Gray Ghost.'' The third largest passenger ship ever to set sail in the North Atlantic seaway, and the largest to survive, the Queen Mary is one of the recent reminders of the artistic and industrial genius that dominated the North Atlantic Ocean for over a century. Just to be clear, I did not request a replacement weathervane and I did not receive one. I called Wayfair because I could not see assembly instructions or screws through the clear plastic which enclosed the pieces of the weathervane. I did not want to open the packaging in case I needed to return the item. After a short hold, I was advised that the missing items would be sent to me. I did send a photo of the unwrapped item, as requested. The next day I opened the packaging and realized that assembly of the product was actually very simple, using the picture on the website as a guide, and the only screws required were the 6 screws to attach the weathervane to the cupola, which I purchased at a local hardware store. The attachment piece was not suitable for my cupola, so a friend was able to fabricate it to fit. I am very pleased with the way the project turned out. My only suggestion would be for the supplier to include a simple 1 page print-out or a pdf on-line for assembly in the product description, as well as a note indicating that attachment screws are not included.. The Queen Mary II, the largest and most luxurious passenger ship ever built, was to take to the seas for the first time on the 25th of September, 2003. This primary endeavor was for a series of tests ahead of her maiden voyage in January. This liner, which was the first canard ship to be outside of Britain, left dock in the western French port of Saint-Nazaire for several trial runs between the off-shore islands of Ile dyeu and Belle-Ile. The Queen Mary II - which can accommodate some 2,600 passengers and 1,250 crew members - is 345 meters long and 41 meters wide, and stands as high as a 23-story building. The 150,000-ton vessel includes a spa, five swimming pools, 2,000 bathrooms, 3,000 telephones, 4,500 steps along with hundreds of works of art. It generated enough power to provide electricity for a city of 300,000 residents. canard, owned by the US cruise group Carnival, paid around 800 million dollars for the vessel. By comparison, the Titanic was 269 meters long, 28 meters wide, and a gross tonnage of 45,000 tons.

A coal-carrying merchant ship operating on the coast of England, named the Bethia, was purchased by the Admiralty, renamed the Bounty, and re-commissioned in 1787 for a special mission. She was to sail halfway around the world to Tahiti, collect sapling breadfruit trees, and transport them to the West Indies. Owners of the burgeoning British plantations there needed a cheap source of food for the workers.

Excellent sale / HMS Bounty / Old Modern Handicrafts. Love it ! Outstanding craftsmanship. Beautiful woods. The rigging is incredible. The sails are perfect. So many small fittings add richness to this amazing work of art. The attention to detail is remarkable. Expert packing. It came boxed with an interior wood crate and all I needed was a screw driver to pry the small nails holding the frame in place around the ship which was tied off inside the frame and cushioned with styrofoam. OMH provides directions inside the Certificate of Authenticity envelope and I recommend looking at that first. The ship itself was fully assembled with the exception of the front mast which locks and hooks into place as per the instruction. There are 3 screws to hold the ship to the wood base that were easy to tighten with the allen wrench enclosed. Fast FedEx free shipping. I could not be happier with my purchase. Great product. Highly recommended seller. Thank you !. Anne. Point Pleasant, NJ. Mon Feb 19 2024

Floor-to-ceiling windows, comfortably sized staterooms, and a sophisticated, four-story central lobby highlight the spaciousness of Majesty of the Seas. As part of the Sovereign Family of ships, it was among the first mega ships in the cruise industry to take to the seas, and its still an industry leader in the realm of family-friendly activities and innovative public areas, which include nine bars and lounges, an open-air basketball court, and Royal Caribbean's signature rock climbing wall.

Titanic named by J.BRUCE ISMAY, was built in March 1909. In May 1911, she was launched, which was a heavily publicized spectacle. Titanic was designed to be a marvel of modern safety technology and her accommodations were the most modern and luxurious on any ocean. She was 883 feet long (1/6 of a mile), 92 feet wide and weighed 46,328 tons. She was 104 feet tall from keel to bridge, almost 35 feet of which were below the waterline. She was capable of carrying over 3500 people (passenger, crew). Unfortunately, at 11:40 p.m on the 14th April 1912, the greatest maritime disaster in history began. During that night of heroism, terror and tragedy, 705 lives were saved, 1502 lives were lost, and many legends were born. This replica of the lighthouse is perfect for any outdoor decor. Enjoy your favorite lighthouse without the trip to the coast.

It took a little longer to arrive, but is well worth the wait. Solid construction and easy to assemble. I had it together in 15 minutes. The lighthouse stands at a little over 5’. The company even included a small paint kit so you can touch up areas when and if you need to. The lighthouse looks better than what is shown on Wayfair. The quality is nothing short of excellent. I love the Patriotic theme. Tomorrow I’ll place this on a dolly to take to my front lawn. It requires an electrical outlet to plug into. Lucky for me we have one center front of house. I’ll use a timer connector so the light will turn on at dark and off after 6 hours. I can’t wait till my neighbors see this.. Rebecca. US. Sat May 22 2021

The SS United States (also known as ''The Big U'') is an ocean liner built in 1952 for the United States Lines. At 53,329 gross tons, she is the largest ocean liner to date built entirely in the United States and still holds the record for the fastest westbound transatlantic crossing. In 1952, on her maiden voyage as the new flagship of the United States Lines, the United States captured the Blue Riband with the fastest eastbound and westbound transatlantic crossings on record (11 July–15 July, 3 days, 12 hours, 12 minutes). The entry of the United States marked the first time since the Baltic a century earlier that a U.S.-flagged ship held the Blue Riband, surpassing European speed records which had stood for decades. The United States lost the eastbound record in 1990, but still holds the westbound record, and remains the fastest ocean liner to cross in either direction. The United States plied the transatlantic with passenger service until 1969, and she outlasted the demise of her original owners. The ship is currently docked in Philadelphia until a decision is made about her fate

This is a stunning replica of the Drakkar Viking boat, a classic boat used by the Vikings between the 7th and 10th centuries. Drake or Dreki is the name of the Scandinavian boats (the drake, usually the ornament of the bow), known between 700 and 1,000. Made of oak (boards piled up like slate ). It is a kind of whale fishing boat and has a very solid shape with a length of approx. 25m and a width of 5m. It was used with sails and oars by the frightful Vikings.

I used this ship to send some of my husbands ashes “out to sea” and set it on fire on the lake we live on as he always said he wanted to go out like a Viking. It worked well. His service was wonderful.. Deborah. Tallahassee, FL. Tue Jan 16 2024
