Well made, burns well and almost smokeless depending on the wood you burn. Makes for an enjoyable fire. We have used it twice now and each time it worked well. No more hair and clothes smelling of smoke. Highly recommended although I have deducted 1 star because the supplied is falling apart after 1 month. Where the mesh part is joined to the solid part is separating. A more sturdier cover would be great. We love our new addition to our patio. It was packaged well and arrived in pristine condition which was my biggest worry. Set-up was super easy and took 20 minutes. It states on the description that it does not include a fire pit cover but it came with one and it also came with lava rocks. Plenty of room to place a drink or small plate of food around the edge of the pit and it gives off plenty of heat. Last night was 55 degrees out and we were quite cozy sitting around the fire pit.
