I purchased five of these panels to add interest to our very long and very boring fence. Buyers should note that the panels are designed to be mounted on posts attached to the ends to make a freestanding panel. It took us quite a while to work out how to mount them to the fence. We initially tried to come up with a way to have concealed screws inside the frame, but this turned out to be nearly impossible because the pattern makes the screws inaccessible. Finally we came up with this solution 1) Determined the spacing and installed lug head screws on the fence at the center top point of each panel. Used a level to make sure they were even. 2) pre drilled 4 holes on each side of the frame, equally spaced, and one at the bottom center. Made them a little bigger than the screws to allow for expansion 3) notched the inside top of the frame, and hung the panel on it. Used a level to square it up. 4) used long black screws to attach the panel to the fence through predrilled holes. Do not screw the panels tight, leave some room for thermal expansion. Create an environmentally friendly and cost-effective composting system with Greenes Fence Composting Bins. this worked perfectly for my purposes. we have a small deck off our kitchen. a young guy moved across the street and decided to use his garage as a gym with the door always open and machines pointed toward us so he was always staring Into our house. One of these screens positioned at the end of our deck now blocks him from looking into our kitchen and deck when he is exercising for hours at a time. They are lightweight and easy to move around.
